What it is

A structure to fill in, not a service to wait on.

Most people would call this a company brain: one place to write down what the company knows, so a person or an AI can find it without asking around. The Starter is that structure, built around one workflow your team is tired of explaining, not the whole company at once.

It's plain Markdown. Any AI tool can read it, and it also works with no AI at all; it's just files a person can open. You keep it in your own folder, under your own account, with nothing hosted anywhere by Elevare.
What's inside

One map, a handful of folders, and one worked example.

  • The Company Map. The one file to read first: what the company does, what matters right now, who decides what, and where things live.
  • Provenance rules. The frontmatter every file carries, and what each field means, so a claim always shows where it came from.
  • A Correction Standard summary and retrieval rules. How a correction gets typed and routed, and why a person or an AI should read the map first and open a folder only when a task needs it.
  • A first-use guide and five tests. About twenty minutes to author the first version around one workflow; about half a day to run the five tests honestly the first time.
  • Folders for decisions, people, projects, policies, facts, skills, workflows, lessons, history, hypotheses, signals, and conflicts. Each with its own short guide and one clearly marked example.
  • A small file that points any AI tool at the map, whether that is Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or whatever your team already has open, so it finds its own way in rather than needing to be told every time.
Three rules

MAP FIRST

Read the map. Open a folder only when a task needs it. Never dump the whole thing into a prompt.

SUPERSEDE, NEVER DELETE

A corrected fact gets a new version. The old one keeps a date it stopped being current and a link to what replaced it. Nothing is erased.

NEVER TURN A GUESS INTO A FACT

A model's or a person's reading of something stays labeled as a guess until it's checked against a real source.

It doesn't connect to your systems, set real permissions, watch the outside world for change, or keep itself accurate. It's a structure and one working example, not a running service. You fill it in, and you keep it current, and for a lot of small companies, that's genuinely enough.

What the Starter can't do is the part that takes someone inside your company for weeks: finding where the truth actually lives, ruling on which system wins when two disagree, connecting the systems that were never meant to talk, enforcing who may see what, and adding what the market is saying about your accounts. That's the paid work, and it's paid because it's hard, not because the files are locked.

If you can do it yourself

Do it. If your company is small, your sources are few and clean, and one person can own the map and the weekly review, you may never need us. That's intentional.

Do I need to talk to Elevare to use it?
